Basketball Game Preview: Sacramento Waldorf Waves vs. Futures Knights

Sacramento Waldorf is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Sacramento Waldorf blew John Adams Academy Rsvl/Lin out of the water with a 52-14 final score. The Waves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Sacramento Waldorf's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Domin?, who went 7 of 10 on her way to 14 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Payne, who went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points and six steals.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-28, which was the final score in Futures' tilt against Forest Lake Christian on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Sacramento Waldorf will need focus on slowing down Sanaiya Singleton, one of several Futures players who made an impact when they last played. She posted eight points. Emma Kharchenko was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Sacramento Waldorf has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.1 points per game. As for Futures, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-10.
