Soccer Game Preview: Calaveras vs. Linden

The Calaveras Red Hawks will challenge the Linden Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Calaveras fell victim to Summerville and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Bears, falling 5-0. The Red Hawks haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, neither Linden nor Big Valley Christian could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

With that draw, Linden's record moves to 6-9-3. As for Calaveras, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5-5.

Calaveras was able to grind out a solid win over Linden in their previous matchup back in January, winning 3-1. Does Calaveras have another victory up their sleeve, or will Linden turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
