The Sunnyslope Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Dobson Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sunnyslope is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 38.3 points per game this season.
Sunnyslope is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ironwood 55-6. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.
Kelton Rogers was his usual excellent self, rushing for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries. Cameron Holeva was in the mix too, providing Sunnyslope with two TDs.

Sunnyslope didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brendon Camp and Joseph Lee. Lee has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last five times he's played.
Meanwhile, Dobson played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 36-6 loss at the hands of Goldwater. The Mustangs were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Sunnyslope will have to keep a close watch on Joriyn Winston and Preston Brunsvold, a pair of players who had a big impact on Dobson's prior game. Winston picked up 89 receiving yards and one score, while Brunsvold threw for 92 yards and one touchdown.
Sunnyslope's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Dobson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's game: Sunnyslope has been on an offensive roll this season, having averaged 356.3 total yards per game. It's a different story for Dobson, though, as they've been averaging only 214.5 total yards. Will Sunnyslope be able to march up the field at their leisure again, or will the Mustangs flip the script?
Everything came up roses for Sunnyslope against Dobson in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 44-3 win. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
