Football Game Preview: Walter Johnson Wildcats vs. Wootton Patriots + How To Watch

The Walter Johnson Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Wootton Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Walter Johnson nor Wootton posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Things were looking good for Walter Johnson after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 28-6 to Churchill. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The losing side was boosted by Jake Forburger, who rushed for 86 yards on only nine carries.

Meanwhile, Wootton came up short against Whitman last Thursday and fell 14-7.

Wootton now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Walter Johnson, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Walter Johnson was able to grind out a solid victory over Wootton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 35-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
