Basketball Recap: College Prep Takes a Loss

College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Head-Royce Jayhawks, falling 44-14. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 898th, while the Jayhawks are ranked 364th).

College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Head-Royce, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season.

College Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Head-Royce, they will challenge Cornerstone Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Cornerstone Christian sitting on seven straight victories and Head-Royce on four.
