Soccer Game Preview: Edison vs. Torres

The Edison Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Torres Toros at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Edison's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Edison will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Sanger, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Tigers never let the Apaches get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. Give Edison's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Meanwhile, Torres waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Guardians 4-0. Torres might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Justin Garza with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Velasquez (2), Elihanna Gallegos, and Cindy Garcia.

Edison's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Torres, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
