Volleyball Game Preview: Cuba Rams vs. Thoreau Hawks + Official Tickets

The Cuba Rams will face off against the Thoreau Hawks at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cuba lost 3-0 to Cottonwood Classical Prep on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Coyotes: they've now lost seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-12, 25-16.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Thoreau challenged Crownpoint on Thursday. The Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Hawks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Eagles since Thursday.

Thoreau was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Crownpoint work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22.

Cuba's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Thoreau, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
