Baseball Recap: Dalton Find Success

Dalton won the last time they faced Southeast Whitfield County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Catamounts walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Raiders. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Catamounts.

Connor Stockard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Dalton saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jose Orrelanes, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Brady Haynes also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Dalton's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

Dalton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair will be back at it again later today.
