The result was nothing new for Maquoketa Valley, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Maquoketa Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Janesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
