Softball Recap: St. Francis Comes Up Short

St. Francis had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 10-8 to make it four. They lost 10-0 to the Hebron Christian Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 12-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2020.

St. Francis saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adi Rose Pawlish 2027, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Pawlish 2027 is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season.

As for Hebron Christian, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 23-1. Considering they have won 16 matchups by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

On Hebron Christian's side, Lauren Kyranakis was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

St. Francis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hebron Christian, they will take on Prince Avenue Christian at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Lions 1.9, the Wolverines 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
