Basketball Game Preview: Clovis Cougars vs. Central Grizzlies

The Clovis Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Central Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Clovis is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of California's top teams: Clovis West, who was ranked fourth at the time (Clovis was ranked 11th). The match between Clovis and Clovis West didn't end well, with Clovis falling 67-48. The Cougars have struggled against the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Central was able to grind out a solid victory over Clovis East on Friday, taking the game 52-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.

Central's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Clovis, their loss dropped their record down to 21-7.

Clovis couldn't quite finish off Central when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 63-61. Can Clovis avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
