While Centennial's victory against Burleson wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Elks 1-0. The result kept Centennial happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 20th.

Centennial pushed their record up to 8-1-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Burleson, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Centennial is set to take on their familiar foe Mansfield Timberview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Burleson will square off against rival Joshua at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
