Baseball Recap: Mancelona Find Success

Mancelona won the last time they faced Central Lake and things went their way on Friday too. The Ironmen walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Trojans.

The team relied heavily on Ryan Naumcheff, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Heath Bradley, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Mancelona's record is now 12-5. As for Central Lake, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Mancelona will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Charlevoix at 5:00 p.m. The Rayders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.43 runs per game on average), something the Ironmen will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central Lake, they will venture away from home to face off against Ellsworth at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
