Softball Game Preview: Valdosta Wildcats vs. Lowndes Vikings

For the second straight game, Valdosta will face off against Lowndes. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Valdosta has now lost 20 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 16.

Lowndes hit Valdosta with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Vikings.

The win made it two in a row for Lowndes and bumps their season record up to 7-20. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Valdosta, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-22.
