Basketball Recap: Legacy Early College Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Fans were treated to a battle of the Lions on Wednesday. Legacy Early College took a 60-43 bruising from Asheville Christian Academy. Legacy Early College was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Asheville Christian Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2021.

Despite the loss, Legacy Early College still got an impressive performance from Lance Barnes, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 21 points and three steals. Barnes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games he's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of R'Javion Booker, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Legacy Early College and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Legacy Early College will face off against Keenan at 2:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Asheville Christian Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 64-62 victory against Cary Academy on the 15th.
