Baseball Recap: Crisp Academy Takes a Loss

Crisp Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-5 to the Windsor Academy Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 on Monday.

Crisp Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Windsor Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crisp Academy will head out to challenge Westwood at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Crisp Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Westwood has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Windsor Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Gatewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
