Basketball Recap: Cross Triumphs

Cross picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-50 win over the Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Stingrays.

Several Phoenix players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Douglas Conley, who shot 55% from the field en route to 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elijah Horn, who posted 13 points and seven boards.

Cross' victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Cross and Palmetto Scholars Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Stingrays see the court they'll take on Savannah Athletic Association at 7:30 p.m. on the 2nd. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, their break will end when they face Faith Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd.
