Football Recap: Colfax-Mingo Comes Up Short

Colfax-Mingo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 56-6 defeat at the hands of the Lynnville-Sully Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Tigerhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Hawks are ranked 115th).

Colfax-Mingo's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Lynnville-Sully, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Colfax-Mingo will challenge rival Madrid at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lynnville-Sully is set to face off against their familiar foe Earlham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
