Football Recap: Weskan Piles Up the Points Against Moscow

Weskan got themselves on the board against Moscow on Friday, but Moscow never followed suit. They blew past the Wildcats 47-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Coyotes also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Weskan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nick Cottrell, who threw for 88 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 5-for-5 passing. Karsyn Wright helped Cottrell out on the ground, rushing for 42 yards and a pair of scores.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Weskan, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Wright, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Weskan now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Moscow, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Weskan will head out to challenge Western Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Coyotes their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Moscow, they will venture away from home to take on South Barber on Friday.
