Softball Recap: Highway 91 Comes Up Short

Highway 91 was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-3 to the Boone Central Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Boone Central this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-3 on Saturday.

Highway 91 saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reann Bruhn, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Bruhn's first of the season.

Highway 91's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Boone Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Boone Central beat Highway 91 by a score of 16-3 later that day.
