Softball Recap: Starmont Comes Up Short

Starmont lost against Maquoketa Valley back in June of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Stars fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Stars have lost by just one run.

Starmont's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Maquoketa Valley, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Starmont by a score of 4-0 later that day.
