With a playoff win on the line, Aurora rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions. Winning may never get old, but the Greenmen sure are getting used to it with their 16th in a row.

Aurora got a great performance from Johnny Slisz as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off one hit.

On the hitting side, Elijah Shim was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Ryan Slisz was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Aurora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .375 or higher in three consecutive games.

Aurora's record is now 21-5. As for Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, they dropped their record down to 12-12 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

As of now, neither Aurora nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
