Baseball Recap: Cherokee Warriors vs. Mill Creek Hawks
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cherokee had no problem doing just that on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Mill Creek Hawks out 3-2. This was a revenge matchup for Cherokee, as the team was forced to settle for a 15-12 loss when these two played on Thursday.
Brennan Roth made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Roth has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Roth was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
