At the plate, Caleb Wright and Austin Johnson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wright went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Johnson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Burkett, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Valley View, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-13.
