Basketball Recap: Ferndale Beats Cornerstone Christian for Their Third Straight Victory

It's playoff time, and Ferndale had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Cornerstone Christian Cougars 53-51. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three games in a row.

Ferndale got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maddison Gossi out in front who posted 15 points. The dominant performance gave Gossi a new career-high in points. Tinnley Pidgeon was another key player, putting up ten points.

Ferndale pushed their record up to 17-9 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.3 points on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Christian, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-10.
