            Baseball Recap: Dunwoody Wildcats vs. River Ridge Knights        
        
		
        
        
            With a playoff win on the line, Dunwoody rose to the challenge  on Tuesday. They won by a  run and slipped past the River Ridge Knights  3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
 Ryan Davies spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in five consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Michael Gregozeski was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  two  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Jack Abbott also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Dunwoody pushed their record up to 30-3 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for River Ridge, they moved to 21-12 with that  loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Knights beat Dunwoody by a score of  6-0 later that day.
