Softball Recap: Fossil Ridge SaberCats vs. Fort Collins Lambkins
Fossil Ridge extended their losing streak to three on Saturday, dropping them down to 5-12. They lost 10-4 to the Fort Collins Lambkins. The SaberCats were not able to make up for their loss to the Lambkins from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.
Briella Myers made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Ryan Nelson also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
As for Fort Collins, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-3. The result was nothing new for the Lambkins, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
On Fort Collins' side, they got a great performance from Lily Padilla as she pitched 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Padilla has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
