Volleyball Game Preview: Desert Scorpions vs. Boron Bobcats + Official Tickets

The Desert Scorpions will head out on the road to take on the Boron Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Desert and eight for Boron.

On Tuesday, Desert didn't have quite enough to beat Frazier Mountain and fell 3-2.

Desert wouldn't go down easily and took Frazier Mountain into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, 17-25, 15-10.

Meanwhile, Boron came up short against California City on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-20, 22-25, 25-12.

Desert's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Boron, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14-1.

Desert took their victory against Boron in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Bobcats' Mia Naples, who had 21 digs. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Scorpions still be able to contain Naples? There's only one way to find out.
