Basketball Recap: Fort LeBoeuf Comes Up Short

Fort LeBoeuf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The matchup between them and the Maplewood Tigers didn't end well, with the Fort LeBoeuf Bison falling 55-38. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Tigers are ranked 105th).

Fort LeBoeuf's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Maplewood, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort LeBoeuf and Girard will round out the year against one another at at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Maplewood, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Maplewood Tigers take on the Commodore Perry Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Commodore Perry will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Maplewood surely won't give up without a fight.
