Baseball Recap: Dayton Comes Up Short

Dayton lost to Santiam Christian on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Pirates have lost by just one run.

Dayton's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Santiam Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dayton will head out to take on Harrisburg at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. As for Santiam Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Paul at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
