With a playoff win on the line, Schley County rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Mt. Zion Bulldogs as they made off with a 14-4 win. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Schley County is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Zion, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Schley County beat the Bulldogs by a score of 9-2 later that day.
