Softball Recap: Greene County Snags Tenth Win in Last 12 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Creston, Greene County was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Des Moines Christian Lions. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 10-3 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2017.

Greene County has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Des Moines Christian, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Greene County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Prairie City-Monroe on the 12th. Des Moines Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
