Soccer Recap: Canton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Canton came into Saturday's contest having lost ten straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Springfield Southeast Spartans with a sharp 4-1 win on Saturday. The match was close at halftime, but Canton turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

They hit Springfield Southeast with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Behr Munton (2), Jon Bishop, and Chase Driskell.

Canton's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Springfield Southeast, they dropped their record down to 3-18-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Canton will face off against Macomb at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Canton will be up against Macomb's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.8 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
