The Red Hook Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Dover Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Hook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Red Hook and Highland, and Red Hook kept the tradition alive. The Raiders' pitchers stepped up to hand the Huskies a 6-0 shutout on Monday. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by exactly six runs.

Red Hook saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Friedman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Dover made sure to put some runs up on the board against Rhinebeck on Monday. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Hawks. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Dragons' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Red Hook has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Dover, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Red Hook beat Dover 7-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
