Basketball Recap: Rio Mesa Takes a Loss

Rio Mesa lost against San Marcos back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rio Mesa Spartans took a 43-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the San Marcos Royals. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Rio Mesa now has a losing record at 2-3. As for San Marcos, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rio Mesa will host Camarillo at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. San Marcos and Oxnard will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
