Football Game Preview: Rawlins County Buffaloes vs. Decatur Community Red Devils

Rawlins County has gone 8-2 against Decatur Community recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Buffaloes will square off against the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. Rawlins County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 39.3 points per game this season.

On Friday, Rawlins County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against St. Francis, but they still walked away with a 28-24 win. The victory continues a trend for the Buffaloes in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won five in a row.

It was another big night for Dominique Paz, who rushed for 204 yards and one TD while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and also threw for 23 yards and three touchdowns. Those 204 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Paz was just one part of a punishing run game: Rawlins County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 294 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 209 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Decatur Community never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Stockton 64-0. The matchup marked the Red Devils' most dominant win of the season.

Decatur Community's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Rawlins County, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Rawlins County against Decatur Community in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 48-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Buffaloes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
