Softball Recap: Saxony Lutheran Victorious

Saxony Lutheran came out on top against East Carter on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fifth inning. The Crusaders never let the Redbirds get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. This was payback for the Crusaders, who suffered an 11-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Adrionna Boland, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jenna Unterreiner, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Saxony Lutheran hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Carter struck out ten times.

The victory got Saxony Lutheran back to even at 4-4. As for East Carter, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.
