Basketball Recap: Washington Union Triumphs

Washington Union won the last time they faced Kingsburg, and Kaleia Brown did her part to make sure it happened again. The Washington Union Panthers managed a 51-47 victory over the Kingsburg Vikings on Tuesday thanks in part to Brown, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Holland, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Washington Union's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Kingsburg, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Washington Union will venture away from home to take on Exeter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kingsburg, they will host Central Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
