Recap: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Pacific Ridge Firebirds
The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past Pacific Ridge with a 39-35 victory. That's another feather in the cap for St. Joseph Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
St. Joseph Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luciana Aguilar, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Aguilar is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Pamela Torres was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five steals.
St. Joseph Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for Pacific Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.
St. Joseph Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Francis Parker is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. As for Pacific Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Torreys at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Jolla Country Day knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully the Firebirds likes a good challenge.
