Masconomet Regional hadn't done well against Marblehead recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Chieftains had just enough and edged out the Magicians 45-42. The Chieftains' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Masconomet Regional, bringing their record up to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points over those games. As for Marblehead, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Masconomet Regional and Northeast Metro RVT will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 10:00 a.m. on November 27. As for Marblehead, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Danvers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
