The Spalding Jaguars will head out to face off against Rock Springs Christian Academy at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. Spalding is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Spalding barely beat Woodland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Spalding put the hurt on Woodland with a sharp 17-7 win on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jaguars considering their two-run performance the game before.

Jaden Miller was a standout: he scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Malinkhi Sims was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Spalding always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .591. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Woodland only posted an OBP of .432.

Meanwhile, Rock Springs Christian Academy came up short against Central Georgia Arts on Thursday, falling 14-3.

Rock Springs Christian Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryder Graham, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Rock Springs Christian Academy now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Spalding, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Spalding has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rock Springs Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.8 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Spalding was able to grind out a solid win over Rock Springs Christian Academy in their previous meeting last Thursday, winning 14-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spalding since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
