Softball Recap: Montgomery County Comes Up Short

Montgomery County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 21-0 to the Jenkins County War Eagles. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 12-3 to the War Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Montgomery County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Jenkins County, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.

Montgomery County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 15-3 defeat against Treutlen on the 19th. As for Jenkins County, they have also already played their next game, a 14-3 loss against Bryan County on the 19th.
