Football Recap: Plainfield North Takes a Loss

Plainfield North lost against York back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers were beaten by the Dukes 38-3. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Dukes are ranked 13th).

Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for York, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Plainfield North and York will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tigers will face off against rival Oswego East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, York is set to take on their familiar foe Proviso West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
