Soccer Game Preview: MOC-Floyd Valley vs. Sheldon

The MOC-Floyd Valley Dutchmen will face off against the Sheldon Orabs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. MOC-Floyd Valley's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Saturday, MOC-Floyd Valley didn't have quite enough to beat Le Mars and fell 4-3. While losing is never fun, MOC-Floyd Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Le Mars are ranked 39th).

Meanwhile, Sheldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of MOC-Floyd Valley.

MOC-Floyd Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10-3 record this season. As for Sheldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1.

MOC-Floyd Valley skirted past Sheldon 1-0 when the teams last played on Thursday. Do the Dutchmen have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Orabs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
