Soccer Recap: Compton Comes Up Short

Compton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the San Gabriel Matadors an easy 8-0 win. Compton were not able to make up for their defeat to San Gabriel from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Compton's loss dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for San Gabriel, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2-2.

Coming up, Compton will finish 2025 at home by hosting Animo Robinson at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Gabriel, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Saddleback on the 20th.
