Soccer Game Preview: Alburnett vs. Mid-Prairie

The Alburnett Pirates will challenge the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Alburnett's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Monticello as they made off with a 4-0 victory. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Alburnett's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mid-Prairie). They blew past Monticello 3-0 on Monday.

Alburnett now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Mid-Prairie, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
