Lathrop is 3-0 against Franklin since December of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lathrop Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Franklin Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lathrop has three straight wins, Franklin has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Lathrop is headed into the match having just posted their closest victory since January 25th on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-47 win over Franklin.

Lathrop's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shakara Porter led the charge by putting up 19 points along with six boards and three steals. That's the most steals Porter has posted since back in January. Jaleiyah Ray was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

The victory got Lathrop back to even at 5-5. As for Franklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8.
