Softball Recap: Marian Comes Up Short

Marian lost against Elkhorn South back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Crusaders took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Storm.

Brooklyn Kincaid and Aubrey Mueting did some serious damage despite the final result: Kincaid went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Mueting went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Keely Robbins, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Marian now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Elkhorn South, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Marian is set to take on their familiar foe Westview at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Crusaders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, Elkhorn South will face off against rival Papillion-LaVista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
