Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Olathe West). They blew past the Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers 49-21 on Thursday. The Owls not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 11, 2024 (when they won 60-27).

Olathe West's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brody Hale led the charge by throwing for 316 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Foland, who gained 179 total yards and three touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Gardner-Edgerton still got an impressive performance from Syre Padilla, who rushed for 168 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Padilla's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 141 rushing yards dating back to last season.

The win made it two in a row for Olathe West and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points over those games. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they moved to 3-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
