Basketball Recap: Upper Moreland Comes Up Short

Upper Moreland lost to Cheltenham back in December of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears fell 59-46 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 357th, while the Panthers are ranked 174th).

Upper Moreland has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Cheltenham, they pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Upper Moreland has already played their next game, a 55-41 loss against Springfield Township on the 30th. As for Cheltenham, they will host West Philadelphia at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
